Third Generation of Anderson Family Participates in Harvest Ogden, Utah, January 11, 2007—Mineral Resources International, Inc. (MRI), a dietary supplement manufacturer of minerals from Utah’s Great Salt Lake, announced its 2006 mineral harvest yield. “2006 was an impressive harvest for MRI and its customers,” stated Corey Anderson, managing partner of MRI’s harvesting operation. “MRI estimates that last year’s harvest in total minerals—not including Inland Sea Water, our liquid whole sea salt and electrolyte blend—is more than four times larger than the 2005 harvest and 3.5 times larger than any previous harvest in company history.” Providing further details about the harvest, Anderson added, “This harvest was characterized by a heavier-than-average winter snowfall, followed by several vigorous spring rainstorms that significantly replenished lake levels, counteracting the recent drought that has plagued Utah. During the summer, there were several bursts of intense heat, often peaking into the low-100s, which accelerated maturation. We are also proud of the fact that the third generation of the Anderson family was integrally involved in this year’s harvest.” Anderson also stated, “This harvest positions MRI exceptionally well for the coming year and in moving forward with company plans for expansion and expected strong growth in multiple markets both in the U.S. and worldwide.” MRI’s mineral harvesting operation is located on the northern most tip of Utah’s Great Salt Lake. The concentration process for MRI’s low-sodium liquid minerals is time- and labor- intensive. On average, it takes up to two years for the minerals to reach peak maturation before it eventually becomes ConcenSea™, MRI’s core mineral product. MRI manages a biodynamic mineral harvesting operation using natural methods and avoiding all use of chemical or synthetic inputs. By controlling the source of its minerals, MRI is able through precision harvesting methods to ensure an all-natural mineral and trace mineral product while maintaining consistent standardization, concentration, and balance in each lot of product produced. In addition, MRI regularly tests its concentrated mineral products both at its in-house lab and outside contracted laboratories to ensure product purity, safety, and quality.
