MRI Announces Product Donation to New Zealand Earthquake Victims
On September 4, 2010, a 7.0-magnitude earthquake struck Christchurch, New Zealand and while, thankfully, there were no reported deaths and few reports of injuries, many people were displaced from their homes due to extensive structural damage. Following the earthquake, MRI and its exclusive distributor for New Zealand, Robin Day of BioTrace, donated 351 bottles of MRI’s stress-recovery formula to those affected by the disaster.
According to Robin Day, “The feedback we have had is that they are all gone-certainly from the couple of stores that asked for more! We distributed the 351 bottles and shared them amongst 12 retailers in Christchurch. The response has been brilliant from the stores, and they say that the public has been very impressed.” Val John Anderson, Executive Vice-President and Director of Sales and Marketing also commented on the donation. “The mission of MRI and the Anderson family is to improve global well being through mineral nutrition. Our product donation program is one of the ways we hope to fulfill our family and corporate mission. We are very grateful that no one was harmed or injured during the earthquake, and it was our mutual desire—both MRI’s and BioTrace’s—to work together to do what we could to express our care and support to the people of New Zealand and by donating bottles of our stress support and recovery formula, to restore both hope and health back to the community.”
